PAINTING

My body of work is in its essence very narrative. It is a reflection of my personal experiences and my deepest emotions. I employ self-portraiture as a vehicle to explore these emotions and express all the things I want to say when words seem to fail.

Countless days and sleepless nights in front of the easel focusing on the minute details allow me to see the meticulously slow transformation from simple brushstrokes into a finished painting, and even though the end result reveals my love for realism, I always strive to leave traces that show the presence and sensibility of the human hand.

My paintings are often filled with symbolism, a touch of mystery and a feeling of nostalgia.

PHOTOGRAPHY

“You don’t take a photograph,
you make it.”
.- Ansel Adams.

My second passion is photography, which I fell in love with when I discovered its storytelling quality and the fact that I could use it to narrate my own stories instead of simply capturing a moment in time.
